Bob the Drag Queen Promises a “Spectacular, Spectacular” Broadway Debut in Moulin Rouge

On Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, producers of Moulin Rouge! The Musical confirmed that Bob will make his Broadway debut in the Tony Award–winning production for a limited eight-week engagement. He will assume the role of Harold Zidler, the charismatic emcee of the Moulin Rouge, with performances beginning Jan. 27, 2026.

“Being on Broadway has always been a dream of mine,” Bob said in a statement. “I moved to NYC almost 17 years ago to pursue it. Some roads take a while.”

That journey has been marked by notable achievements. After winning season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Bob sold out comedy tours, authored a New York Times bestselling book, and served as emcee and special guest on Madonna’s Celebration Tour—establishing himself across live performance, writing and international stages.

Most recently, Bob was a prominent contestant on the Emmy-winning third season of The Traitors, where his strategic gameplay and decisions to vote out fellow competitors—among them reality stars—sparked a passionate fan reaction. He pushed back on criticism on social media, refusing to apologize and noting that contests like these demand tough choices and thick skin.
