Bob Moses is poised to unveil their fourth studio album, Blink, on October 17. Alongside the announcement, they have released the album’s lead single, the resonant “Last Forever.”
Issued via AWAL, Blink succeeds their 2022 offering, The Silence in Between. The duo composed this record between Los Angeles—home to Tom Howie—and New York City, where Jimmy Vallance resides. Initial sketches were swapped through Dropbox and Discord before they converged in Toronto and Vancouver to flesh out the arrangements in person.
“Blink poses a question: how do we embrace a life of depth when every moment slips away?” Howie muses. “It wasn’t intentional, yet the way we created this album embodies that very concept—seizing fragments of time.”
In advance of Blink’s launch, Bob Moses will appear at XS in Las Vegas, Breakaway North Carolina, and San Francisco’s Portola Festival this September.
The duo’s debut, Days Gone By (2015), enjoyed 11 weeks on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, while 2018’s Battle Lines spent a week there. Their single “Love Brand New” from The Silence in Between remained on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs for 12 weeks, peaking at No. 29.
