Each of BLACKPINK’s music videos has sequentially eclipsed one billion views on YouTube, and the latest to achieve this feat is “Pink Venom.”

With this milestone, the quartet—Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé—now boasts six music videos surpassing one billion views. Their previous billion-view hits include “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love” (both exceeding two billion), “BOOMBAYAH” (approaching two billion), as well as “As If It’s Your Last” and “How You Like That.”

“Pink Venom” premiered on August 19, 2022, as the lead single from their second studio album, Born Pink, which arrived in mid-September. The track peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album debuted atop the Billboard 200.

BLACKPINK first broke records in July 2018 when “DDU-DU DDU-DU” racked up 36.2 million views in its first 24 hours—the highest single-day total for a Korean music video at the time—and became the fastest K-pop group video to reach 100 million views in just ten days. By January 2019, it had become the most-viewed K-pop group video on YouTube with over 620.9 million views, and the group also became the first K-pop act to surpass 20 million YouTube subscribers. In April 2019, “Kill This Love” set the record for the largest music video debut in YouTube history with nearly 58 million streams in 24 hours.

Although the members briefly pursued solo endeavors—such as Lisa’s acting role in season three of White Lotus and Jennie’s starring turn in The Idol—they reunited this July to release “Jump,” which has already climbed to number 28 on the Hot 100.

After concluding the North American leg of their Born Pink World Tour, BLACKPINK has now embarked on the European segment, with the Asian dates kicking off in October and concluding with two shows at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on January 24 and 25.
