Lisa’s solo arrival is imminent. Just two days after dropping the official teaser poster for her upcoming single project, Lalisa, the singer surprised fans on Friday (Aug. 27) by unveiling a teaser trailer for the single album to her and BLACKPINK’s official social accounts.
The trailer — which clocks in at mere 26 seconds — features the “Kill This Love” singer in an enigmatic setting, perched on an invisible platform bathing in deep red lighting, while flashes of thunder and lightning provide background noise. The single album’s title and release date (Sept. 10) appears in matching deep red lettering before the end of the trailer.
After the official poster for the single album was revealed, more information about the project was posted to BLACKPINK’s Instagram account regarding a physical album release. Black and gold box set versions are currently available to pre-order, and they include specialty items such as an 88-page photo book, a rare photo card, and rare golden ticket limited to a small number of the box sets. A vinyl LP of the single album is also available to pre-order.
To accompany the release of the single album, BLACKPINK’s label — YG Entertainment — also announced that there will be an online signing event for fans to have a one-minute, 30-second conversation with the Lisa. Purchase of the black or gold box set is required.
Lisa will be the third member of the quartet to drop a solo release. Jennie released the aptly named “Solo” in November 2018, while Rosé gave fans -R-, which featured “On the Ground” and “Gone,” in March. Jisoo will be the last member of BLACKPINK to make her solo debut.
