Billie Eilish Celebrates Finneas’ Engagement to Claudia Sulewski
Billie Eilish expressed genuine delight after her brother Finneas revealed he and Claudia Sulewski are engaged.
The couple confirmed the news on Wednesday, , posting photos from an outdoor proposal and captioning the joint Instagram announcement with the line, “forever and ever 9.22.”
Sulewski also posted a short clip on TikTok, modeling her new diamond and teasing, “we’re getting marrieddd.”
Messages of congratulations poured in across social platforms. Eilish reshared Finneas’ post to her Instagram Stories on , responding with an emotional emoji and hearts to convey how moved she was.
She later posted a screenshot from a FaceTime call captured during the proposal: Sulewski tremulously held up the ring while an overjoyed Eilish — visible in the corner of the screen — watched in stunned delight.
Finneas and Sulewski first connected via a dating app and began dating in 2018. He has frequently appeared in her YouTube vlogs, and the pair co-hosted the podcast We Bought a House for a period. Finneas has written several love songs inspired by Sulewski — notably 2019’s “Claudia” — and she directed and co-starred in his 2022 video for “Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa.”
Through that relationship, Sulewski has also become close with Eilish; the three commonly attend red-carpet events together, and the two women are often featured in each other’s social-media posts. In Sulewski’s 2020 pre-Oscars vlog, for example, Eilish greets her future sister-in-law with a warm embrace.
