Today’s Top Hits on Spotify includes some of the biggest songs in the world, so it makes sense that some of the biggest music acts in the world are helping launch a brand-new look for the streamer’s most popular playlist. Below, Billboard can exclusively unveil a video ushering in a new era for the playlist starring Billie Eilish, Blackpink, Dua Lipa, Travis Scott and Bad Bunny.
In the video, the superstars look like they’re inside their very own video game (or perhaps inside the revamped playlist itself), as Scott mans a musical command station, Bad Bunny mines sonic gems, and Eilish squeezes lightning between her fingers.
The rebranding of the playlist — which has 28 million-plus followers on Spotify — includes a new logo that incorporates the TTH acronym and the tagline “Hits Made Here.”
In addition to already-established acts like the ones in the video, up-and-coming artists across genres are included on Today’s Top Hits too and have seen a bump in streams after being added to the list, including Tate McRae (“You Broke Me First”), 24kGoldn (“Mood”) and The Kid Laroi (“Without You”).
“Spotify and Today’s Top Hits have affected my music and career so much,” McRae said in a statement about what the playlist has meant to her. “I am always so grateful to see my songs alongside such incredible artists and some of my biggest idols.” Laroi added: “Playlists like TTH help artists like me, who are coming up, get introduced to so many fans who hadn’t heard my music and maybe wouldn’t have found me otherwise.”
24kGoldn — whose breakout hit “Mood,” featuring iann dior, spent eight nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also a fixture on Today’s Top Hits — called being added to the playlist “a major milestone for any artist. It is literally the biggest playlist in the world so if your song goes on it, it allows your music to reach people in other countries and continents who could love your music and it just hadn’t come up on their radar until then. It’s an honor every time I have one of my songs go up there.”
