Beasties Boys Comment on Eminem Kamikaze Album Cover

Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock and Mike D have sat down for an hour-long interview with “The Strombo Show” host George Stroumboulopoulos to debate their long-awaited memoir Beastie Boys Book, which arrives October 30 (by way of Spiegel & Grau). At one level, the dialog shifted to Eminem and his new album Kamikaze, which options paintings that bears a striking similarity to the Beasties’ 1986 debut Licensed to Ill. They stated that they didn’t get any advance warning about Eminem’s cowl artwork.

“I bought possibly 10 textual content messages, 20 textual content messages. And I’m like, Why do I swiftly have like 50 textual content messages? I higher see what’s occurring,” Mike stated. “Everybody’s forwarding me the album cover from, like, the Twitter feed, or whatever.
