Battlefield 6 Preload Begins for Xbox Series X|S Owners
The developers of Battlefield 6 have prepared a surprise for Xbox Series X|S owners — Microsoft console players can download the game before users on other platforms.
The launch of the new shooter from Battlefield Studios is drawing near, and the publisher has started final preparations. It was recently announced that preloading will begin on October 3, but that option will be limited to PC and PlayStation 5.
Xbox users have a different arrangement: Series X|S owners are able to download the game right now. File sizes vary by console model — on Xbox Series X Battlefield 6 occupies 72.53 GB, while the Series S version is 39.10 GB.
In short, Microsoft console owners get a head start and can prepare for release in advance, while PS5 and PC players remain waiting for preloads to open.
