Battlefield 6 players encountered launch bugs — developers respond with gifts

Battlefield 6 launched to a massive audience, but the rollout was not without issues. The developers acknowledged the faults and promised compensation for affected players.

The release opened strongly — at peak there were 747,440 concurrent players on Steam, and the server queues reflected intense demand. However, some users encountered bugs that prevented the campaign and multiplayer from launching. Owners of the EA App version were unable to play because the game incorrectly reported required files as missing. The community quickly found a temporary workaround, but an official patch arrived only several hours later.

Owners of the Phantom Edition, as well as players who completed the “Path to Battlefield 6” program or participated in the beta, also did not receive the promised rewards.

In response, the developers said the issue has been resolved. All standard-edition owners will receive 12 hours of double XP and complimentary access to the first season pass. Phantom Edition owners who were affected by the bug will be granted access to the second season pass.
