Bad Bunny was one of the big winners at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, taking home three of five awards in the Latin categories on Sunday night (May 23).

During the awards ceremony that took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the Puerto Rican artist was awarded the top Latin artist title for a second consecutive year. Reggaeton stars Anuel AA, J Balvin, Maluma and Ozuna were also finalists.

“Thanks a lot, first of all, to my fans all over the world,” he said during his speech. “Without you, no award would exist. Thank you, Billboard. I share this [award] with all of my colleagues nominated who are doing big things for the genre.”

He also sent a special message to viewers back home, inviting them to have love and compassion for others. “It’s free and you don’t know what others are going through,” he added.

Bad Bunny, who’s set to perform at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, also won top Latin male artist and top Latin song for his Jhay Cortez-assisted hit “Dakiti.”

The Billboard Music Awards are produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC. MRC and Penske Media are co-parent companies of Billboard.
