Fans can soon catch Bad Bunny making his acting debut on the new season of Narcos. “It’s different but at the same time, it’s the same,” he told host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night (Nov. 3). “You have to work hard, be responsible, and respect your colleagues. I enjoyed it. It’s something new for me but I liked it and I’m learning,” he elaborated.
The Puerto Rican superstar portrays Arturo “Kitty” Paez on the new Narcos: Mexico, premiering Friday, Nov. 5 on Netflix. Described in a release as one of a gang of “rich, well-connected kids from upper society who fell in with the cartel life for the money, drugs, and violence,” Bad Bunny joins the already ridiculously stacked cast for the final season of the series that has chronicled the rise and fall of a series of murderous drug cartels.
Though he’ll portray a new member of the Tijuana cartel, the singer assures us he’s really a good guy in real life. “The character is a cool, young guy, and I’m a cool guy, I think so,” he said.
In addition, BB talked about his WWE wrestling experience and looking forward to his touring comeback.
“I’m crazy to start my tour, it’ll be epic,” he noted about his first show in two years set to take place on Dec. 10 in Puerto Rico. “It’s going to be special, legendary. My shows are always energetic but Puerto Rico, that’s my home, so I’m going to give it my all.”
Fallon also tried to get details on a potential studio album for 2022. “Nah, I don’t know. I’m working on it,” Bunny admitted. “I don’t have a date. We’re working but maybe I’ll send some clues. I’m not sure.”
