Legendary singer-songwriter-producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and his wife of seven years, Nicole Pantenburg, have announced that they are splitting up.
As first reported by TMZ, the couple — who married in 2014 and have one daughter together, Payton Nicole, 12 — did not give a reason for ending their marriage, but expressed their mutual respect for one another in a joint statement to the site.
“After much thought and with great sadness, we have decided to end our marriage,” they said. “We continue to care and have respect for one another and share eternal love for our daughter and her well-being. We ask for personal privacy for ourselves and our daughter as we navigate these new steps as a family.”
Babyface, 62, was married to entrepreneur Tracey Edmonds from 1992 to 2005, and they have two sons. At press time, it was unclear if Edmonds and Pantenburg, 48, an actress who has appeared on That ’70s Show, Eve and For Your Love — have filed official divorce documents or legal separation papers.
Billboard has reached out to Babyface for comment.
