After eight years of logging entries on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, Asking Alexandria scores its first leader with “Alone Again,” which leaps 4-1 on the tally dated Nov. 13.
“Alone Again” is the rockers’ first ruler among 11 charted titles, six of which have hit the top 10.
The band first reached the ranking with “The Death of Me,” which peaked at No. 23 in November 2013. It earned its first top 10 with “Moving On” (No. 6, February 2015).
Concurrently, “Alone Again” bullets at No. 15 (after reaching at No. 14) on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay survey with 2.2 million audience impressions, up 12%, according to MRC Data.
The song also places at No. 11 on the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs list, after peaking at No. 7 in October. In addition to its radio airplay, the song earned 311,000 U.S. streams in the Oct. 29-Nov. 4 tracking week.
“Alone Again” is the lead single from See What’s on the Inside, Asking Alexandria’s seventh studio album. The set debuted at No. 22 on the Hard Rock Albums chart dated Oct. 16 and has earned 11,000 equivalent album units to date.
