Apex Legends Passes Counter-Strike 2 to Lead Steam Charts
Apex Legends has taken the top spot on the Steam top sellers chart, surpassing Counter-Strike 2, driven by a surge in player interest following the launch of the new Marked season.
Respawn Entertainment, known for Titanfall 2 and Star Wars Jedi, has achieved success once again. Since August 4, Apex Legends has held first place on the Steam top sellers list, even overtaking Counter-Strike 2.
Yesterday alone, the peak concurrent player count for Apex Legends on Steam exceeded 290,000. The free-to-play shooter also remains popular on consoles.
The primary driver behind the surge in interest is the launch of the new Marked season. Its main feature is a comprehensive rework of the legend Bloodhound. Respawn also made balance adjustments to Loba, Rampart, Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer.
The developers showcased all the major additions in a new gameplay trailer for the season.
Big Walk is also continuing to maintain strong positions on Steam. The game recently joined the PlayStation Plus catalog.
