Aniimo Shown at TGS 2025; Game Compared to Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Chinese developer Pawrpint revealed new footage of its Aniimo project at TGS 2025. The title is positioning itself as another free-to-play rival to Pokémon.

Developers conducted a beta test in July. Visually, Aniimo evokes Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The team describes it as “a next‑generation role‑playing game with action elements,” where players collect magical creatures across a vast open world.

The release date has not been announced, but the game is confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, PC and mobile platforms.

Aniimo is not the only Chinese contender aiming at Nintendo’s hits. Genre competition is intensifying, and the market is seeing an increasing number of alternatives to Pokémon.
