Angel Olsen Covers Karen Dalton’s “Something on Your Mind”: Listen

The 7″ single is part of a 50th anniversary reissue of Dalton’s In My Own Time

Angel Olsen has shared a cover of Karen Dalton’s “Something on Your Mind” as part of a 50th anniversary reissue of the folk singer’s 1971 album In My Own Time. The 7″ single features Dalton’s original on the b-side. It’s due out January 13 via Light in the Attic. Check out Olsen’s “Something On Your Mind” below.

Olsen has shared several covers this year on her EP Aisles, including Laura Branigan’s “Gloria” and Men Without Hats’ “Safety Dance” and Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without a Face.” She also collaborated with Sharon Van Etten on the duet “Like I Used To,” which they performed at Pitchfork Festival Music Festival 2021 in Chicago. Olsen is touring with Van Etten and Julien Baker this year.

“Something on Your Mind” was named one of Pitchfork’s “200 Best Songs of the 1970s.”
