All Things Go and Global Citizen Cancel 2026 Festivals Due to Severe Weather Conditions in New York

Two festivals in New York were canceled due to severe weather conditions as All Things Go and Global Citizen announced Friday, Sept. 25, that their 2026 events would not continue as planned.

Both festivals informed ticketholders through social media posts. After consultation with local officials, Forest Hills Stadium, and trusted weather advisors, organizers made the decision to cancel All Things Go NYC on September 25, 26, and 27 at Forest Hills Stadium due to severe weather conditions in the New York Metro area throughout the weekend, including high winds, according to a statement on the ATG Instagram.

The safety of fans, artists, and the local crew remains the top priority, the statement continued. Organizers added that they cannot put into words how heartbroken they are, while thanking fans, artists, and crews.

MUNA, Zara Larsson, Hayley Williams, Mitski, and Lola Young were scheduled to perform during the three-day festival. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Shaboozey, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and Alicia Keys were slated to play sets at this year’s Global Citizen. The charitable organization announced Friday that it canceled the festival due to the extreme weather forecast for New York City, acting in consultation with the City of New York and NYC Parks.

Forecasts predict dangerous conditions in which tens of thousands of Global Citizens, artists, crew, vendors, partners, and staff cannot safely access the Great Lawn alongside required equipment, the organization stated. Safety comes first in what marks the first cancellation in 14 years, after a week of working through contingencies that ultimately proved impossible.

Both festivals confirmed that ticket refunds will be processed automatically.

The news arrives as the latest development in New York’s preparations for an approaching nor’easter. Mayor Zohran Mamdani warned on X on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to prepare for gusty winds, rain, and high-tide flooding beginning that day, peaking Friday, and potentially continuing through Sunday. He advised coastal residents to move vehicles to higher ground, secure loose outdoor items like furniture and garbage containers, and stay informed as storm tracks change.

In a Friday X message, the mayor informed citizens that the storm path had shifted closer to the city and would bring heavier rain and stronger winds than initially expected.
