Alan Wake 2: new images of the game, the atmosphere is gloomy or even unhealthy

In addition to the announcement of Alan Wake Remastered on Nintendo Switch, the Remedy Entertainment studio gave a lot of information on the highly anticipated Alan Wake 2, revealed to the world at the last Game Awards in Los Angeles. The development is progressing according to Sam Lake, the Creative Director, who asks fans a little patience before being able to discover gameplay. He doesn’t want to disturb the concentration of his teams with a demo or anything else to keep this dynamic that he considers important. History to give a little grain to grind, artworks have however been shared to give an overview of what awaits us soon. The game promises to be dark, with settings that will make us discover both the city, but also more natural environments such as forests to go through, which is reminiscent of the first episode. The image, on the other hand, of this possessed old lady with her knitting in her hand and visibly finding herself in the sewer proves to us that we will still have to be wary of everyone.

Scheduled for 2023 (if all goes well), Alan Wake 2 will therefore arrive 13 years after the release of the first episode, and if Remedy took so long, you should know that the Finnish studio has been thinking about it for more than 10 years. Illka Villy, the actor who lent his features to the character of Alan Wake, talks about the fact that Sam Lake has been talking about it since the end of the first episode and knows full well that the announcement of Quantum Break has been somewhat disappointing for fans awaiting the return of the tortured novelist.
