Prince’s Sign o’ the Times is returning to the big screen via Alamo Drafthouse this spring. The theater chain has announced that a 4K restored edition of the 1987 concert film will appear for a limited run in theaters nationwide beginning Friday, April 1.

Shot mostly at Prince’s famed Paisley Park studios, the Sign o’ the Times film captures the band that toured in support of the record that year. It had a short original run and, like much of Prince’s material, had not always been easily accessible online. Sign o’ the Times got a “super deluxe” reissue in 2020, which included previously unreleased material from the late artist’s archives.
