After Touring All 30 MLB Ballparks, Jack White Hits Inside-the-Park Home Run

Like many devoted baseball devotees, Jack White harbored an ambitious—and undeniably taxing—dream: to witness a game in every Major League Baseball stadium. Achieving that goal requires ample time, significant resources, and the perseverance to traverse all 30 ballparks from coast to coast, including venues in Canada.

This past weekend, the 50-year-old rocker jubilantly announced that he and two friends had fulfilled their “long-held mission” by catching the Philadelphia Phillies versus Detroit Tigers matchup at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. “Tigers won!” he crowed in a celebratory Instagram post on August 2, 2025, marking the final stop on their cross-country baseball pilgrimage.

Alongside photos of White perched among the crowd, group snapshots with fellow aficionados, and candid in-stadium moments, he praised the venue’s charm: “What a spectacular ballpark,” before posing the inevitable question for any baseball completist.

“Now here’s a conundrum for the baseball community: should we count the temporary facility where the Tampa Bay Rays are currently playing?” he queried, referring to the team’s residence at minor-league George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa after Hurricane Milton battered Tropicana Field in 2024. “Does this provisional stadium qualify toward our tally? For reference, we also attended a game at the temporary Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, where the former Oakland A’s played in 2025 ahead of their move to Las Vegas.”

An unabashed baseball superfan, White has previously showcased his passion—sporting a vintage jersey gifted by Eddie Vedder at a Cubs-Dodgers game in Tokyo while seated beside Bill Murray; belting the National Anthem at a Tigers game in 2022; throwing out the first pitch in 2014; and even co-investing in the Warstic bat company with Tigers All-Star Ian Kinsler in 2016.
