Adam Stotsky is named president of MRC Live & Alternative, the live and alternative division of entertainment group MRC.
Stotsky brings to the company more than 25 years’ experience across entertainment, media and marketing brands, including 19 years with NBCUniversal.
At NBCUniversal, Stotsky served as global president of E! Entertainment (2014-2019), president of Esquire Network (2012-2017), chief marketing officer of NBC Entertainment (2008-2011) and executive VP global marketing of SYFY (2001-2008).
In his new role, Stotsky reports to MRC CEOs and Co-Founders, Modi Wiczyk and Asif Satchu.
“Adam is well positioned to lead MRC Live & Alternative as we go through a period of rapid growth and innovation. He brings a wealth of experience in the space and a reputation for building iconic brands and franchises,” said Wiczyk and Satchu in a statement.
MRC Live & Alternative claims to be the world’s largest producer and proprietor of televised live event entertainment programming.
The company has a full slate on content production in the works, including the Academy of Country Music Awards, in partnership with the Academy of Country Music and Amazon Prime Video; the upcoming American Music Awards (alongside award-winning producer and showrunner Jesse Collins), which returns to ABC live on Sunday, Nov. 22; the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs); the Streamy Awards for YouTube; and pre-production is underway for the 50th anniversary show of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, also on ABC.
MRC is former owner and a shareholder in Billboard. Formerly known as Valence Media, the company rebranded to MRC in July 2020.
