Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange? And by strange, we mean a live concert after more than a year of quarantine.

The Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles is hosting a live-to-film concert experience of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas on Friday, October 29, 2021. The Halloween show will feature Danny Elfman — who composed the original film’s music, lyrics and score — reprising his original role of Jack Skellington. Additional original voices and special guest stars will be revealed at a later date.

Conductor John Mauceri will conduct a full orchestra and choir performing the film’s score and songs live, along with Elfman singing live in sync with the film. The evening will also include a variety of pre-show activities, including a costume contest and trick-or-treating.

“Jack is back!” Elfman said in a press statement. “I was so sorry to have missed last Halloween. (We all know why). But- I’m not skipping this year. Jack wants to get back on stage. I can’t wait to see you all.”

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this iconic film with an extraordinary concert experience mixing film, live music, singers, and immersive digital animation that can only be experienced live,” concert co-producers Richard Kraft and Laura Engel added.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday (May 14) at 10 a.m. PT here. Before the big event, watch The Nightmare Before Christmas on Disney+.
