48% of Call of Duty fans who played the Battlefield 6 beta did not return to CoD, analysts say

The largest exodus came from PC players. About one-third of Xbox owners did not return to Call of Duty.

The Game Business, citing an analyst report from Ampere, says pre-orders for Battlefield 6 on PC through Steam alone have topped 1.7 million copies. Analysts expect EA’s new shooter to sell roughly 5 million units worldwide in its first week.

Ampere also reports that 48% of Steam players who sampled the Battlefield 6 beta did not go back to Call of Duty. On Xbox and PlayStation, the shares of players who opted to wait for the new Battlefield instead of staying with CoD are 29% and 24%, respectively.
