25 Minutes of Gameplay Revealed for Fan-Made Resident Evil Unreal Engine 5 Spencer Mansion Remake

Modders continue building a concept remake on a modern game engine.

Resident Evil fans are working on an unofficial remake of the first game in the series. The RE Biohazard YouTube channel released a new 25-minute demonstration of the project.

The developers use Unreal Engine 5 for the remake. This update shows progress since the last presentation several years ago, allowing players to walk through the Spencer Mansion and surrounding areas.

This project remains a concept. The team has not released a public demo and has not announced plans to do so.

The tour includes the Spencer Mansion, the backyard, the guest house, and the laboratory.

An official remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica is also in development. You can add the title to your Steam wishlist. While the studio has not set a precise release date, they plan to launch the game in 2027:
