Duke Nukem Zero Hour: Recompiled is an unofficial PC conversion of the 1999 Nintendo 64 exclusive. The title sends Duke back in time to confront extraterrestrial invaders and the infamous Jack the Ripper.

This new port brings widescreen compatibility, higher frame rates, and customizable controls while preserving the original gameplay — and it runs even on modest graphics cards.

Duke Nukem rose to fame in the 1990s thanks to Duke Nukem 3D on PC and consoles. However, the franchise’s entries on Nintendo 64 and PlayStation remained out of reach for PC players. One of those projects was Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, often cited as one of the finest Duke adventures.

Zero Hour: Recompiled — an unofficial third-person port in which Duke travels to the Wild West and Victorian London to stop a new alien menace. Notable highlights include a post‑nuclear, post‑apocalyptic New York and battles with Jack the Ripper.

The conversion is even compatible with older GPUs such as the GeForce GT 630 and Radeon HD 7750. Running it requires the original ROM of the game, since Recompiled supplies only the code and does not include art or music. Ray tracing support is planned as well, following other N64-to-PC efforts like Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
