007: First Light and Big Walk Lead Golden Joystick Awards 2026 Nominations

Grand Theft Auto VI is not participating in the race.

The organizers of the Golden Joystick Awards 2026 have announced the list of nominees. The primary leaders in the number of mentions are 007: First Light and Big Walk, with each game receiving five nominations.

Big Walk is contending for awards in the categories of Best Audio Design, Best Indie Game, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Gaming Trailer, and PC Game of the Year.

For 007: First Light, the five nominations are divided among Best Soundtrack, Best Storytelling, Console Game of the Year, and acting categories. Patrick Gibson, who portrayed James Bond, is nominated for Best Lead Performer, while Lennie James, who played John Greenway, is nominated for Best Supporting Performer.

In second place by number of nominations is Resident Evil: Requiem with three mentions. The game is competing for awards for Best Trailer and Console Game of the Year, and Angela Sant’Albano, who played Grace Ashcroft, received a nomination in the Best Supporting Performer category.

Three nominations each were also received by Meccha Chameleon, Mewgenics, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Valheim, and Saros.

Voting in most categories has already started and will run until October 23. A separate vote will be held for the main award of the evening, Ultimate Game of the Year. It will be open from October 26 to October 30, and the nominees in this category will be announced later. Additionally, the jury will select winners in the Streamers’ Choice Award, Breakthrough Award, and Critics’ Choice Award categories.
