During a recent visit to Arrowhead Stadium to formalize his latest contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, the veteran tight end took a moment to acknowledge a very familiar face adorning the venue’s walls.
In a video released by the Chiefs organization on Monday, Kelce is seen strolling through the familiar corridors of the stadium. The hallways are lined with commemorative posters of iconic artists who have performed at the legendary venue. Among the gallery of legends is his fiancée, the 14-time Grammy Award winner, captured during her record-breaking Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead—the same venue where Kelce famously attempted to give her a friendship bridge with his phone number on it.
As he passed the image of the superstar commanding the stage, Kelce didn’t skip a beat. He offered a playful wave and a quiet “Hi” to the poster before turning toward the camera with a satisfied smile, remarking, “Home sweet home!”
The behind-the-scenes footage also showcased Kelce officially signing his new three-year, $57.7 million contract. This landmark deal ensures his legendary career with the Chiefs will extend into a 14th season, effectively silencing the retirement rumors that had swirled throughout the previous year.
Kelce recently touched upon his motivation for staying in the game, citing Swift’s own work ethic as a catalyst. Speaking with Pat McAfee earlier this month, the Grotesquerie actor noted that they share a profound dedication to their respective crafts. “We both have this incredible drive for what we do,” he explained, noting that both have pursued their professional passions with the same intensity since they were children.
