RM is channeling his inner heavy in a cinematic new teaser for BTS’s “2.0.” In the brief clip, the group’s leader commands the screen with the imposing gravitas of a 1970s-era underworld boss.

Unveiled on Tuesday, the 30-second preview begins in a murky, crowded hallway filled with boisterous men. A sudden silence sweeps through the room as an elevator opens to reveal BTS. While the faces of the other members remain obscured, RM steps into the spotlight as the clear focal point of the scene.

Donning a retro hairstyle and sleek aviators, the rapper delivers a piercing, intimidating stare that has left fans buzzing. Social media was quick to react, with one ARMY member commenting on YouTube that “Kim Namjoon is on another level… total mafia vibes,” while another noted that he looks like a “classic K-drama antagonist.”

“2.0” is one of 14 tracks featured on the group’s latest studio effort, ARIRANG. The teaser’s release follows a triumphant week for the septet; their lead single “SWIM” recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album itself seized the top spot on the Billboard 200 with a staggering 641,000 equivalent album units moved in its first week.

In addition to the teaser, BTS treated fans to a live performance video for “SWIM.” The video features the members singing at an indoor pool while wearing the sharp, tailored suits that have defined the visual aesthetic of the ARIRANG era. This project marks their first full-length album since 2020’s Be, and the group is set to support the release with a massive global stadium tour kicking off this April.
