Jacob Elordi and Jenna Ortega Join the Film Academy

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended invitations to 529 film industry professionals to join its ranks, granting them voting privileges for the annual Academy Awards. The latest cohort of inductees includes notable stars such as Jacob Elordi, Jenna Ortega, Josh O’Connor, Mia Goth, Julia Garner, Jon Bernthal, and Bill Skarsgård.

This year’s roster also features celebrated filmmakers Benny and Josh Safdie, *Barbarian* director Zach Cregger, actor Simu Liu, and a host of other prominent creative voices. In total, invitations were distributed across 19 different professional branches of the Academy.

Should all invitees accept, the Academy’s total membership will rise to 11,319, with 10,338 members eligible to cast their ballots in determining the nominees and winners for the Oscars.
