Path of Exile’s “Mirage” League Sees One of Its Biggest Launches in Years, but Familiar Server Issues Persist

Developers continue to show love for the original Path of Exile.

This March, Grinding Gear Games launched the new “Mirage” league. The season debut drew a massive influx of players to the Steam version of the game.

Peak concurrent users surpassed 190,000. For context, the “Siege of the Atlas” expansion peaked at 179,000, while “Sentinel” reached nearly 186,000.

Despite the record numbers, the Mirage league’s debut was not without its flaws. Path of Exile veterans voiced frustrations over recurring server instability as the infrastructure buckled under the pressure. Those who did manage to establish a connection often found themselves stuck in massive login queues.
