Megan Thee Stallion Intervenes to Save Rescue Dog from Euthanasia
Megan Thee Stallion recently transitioned from the Broadway stage to a mission of mercy, dramatically altering the fate of a dog facing a dire ultimatum. The Houston-born superstar revealed that she stepped in to adopt a canine companion just hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized.
In a heartfelt video shared with her followers on Friday, March 27, the rapper introduced her newest friend while expressing genuine disbelief over the reality of high-intake animal facilities. “I was yesterday years old when I discovered that ‘kill shelters’ actually exist,” she admitted to her audience. Stunned by the policy of putting down animals that fail to find immediate placement, she recalled her immediate reaction: “That is unthinkable. They were going to put him down yesterday, and I said, ‘No, wait. Just give him to me. I’ll take him.'”
The newcomer, whom she has named Tyger, joins an already bustling household. Megan is already a devoted “pet mom” to her famous French bulldog, Foe, a majestic Maine Coon cat named 9, and another pup named Dos. While she playfully questioned how her resident bulldog Foe would adjust to the new “sibling” rivalry, she appeared overjoyed to expand her family. “Meet my new rescue son, TYGER,” she enthusiastically captioned the announcement.
This act of compassion follows a historic milestone in Megan’s career. Earlier this month, she made her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge!, shattering glass ceilings as the first woman to portray the traditionally male role of Harold Zidler. Following her debut performance on March 24, she shared her excitement with her “Hotties,” expressing deep gratitude for the cast and crew who helped make her theatrical dreams a reality.
On the musical front, Megan continues to dominate the charts. Her 2024 self-titled album, Megan, climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and her recent singles “Whenever” and “Lover Girl” have maintained her status as a top-tier hitmaker, with the latter securing a spot in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
