BTS is stepping up to the plate to help Major League Baseball usher in a new season. As announced on Tuesday (March 24), the K-pop icons will provide the soundtrack for MLB’s opening week social media content, featuring hits from their latest album, ARIRANG.
The collaboration kicked off with the first of three high-octane teaser videos shared across BTS and MLB’s official social channels. The initial clip spotlights “FYA,” a standout, high-energy track from their new LP. The music serves as the perfect backdrop for a montage of diamond highlights featuring superstars like Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers, Aaron Judge of the Yankees, and Juan Soto of the Mets delivering massive hits and game-changing plays.
The second video in the series is slated for release on Wednesday—the same day the San Francisco Giants host the New York Yankees at Oracle Park. This highly anticipated matchup marks the start of the 2026 season and will be streamed live on Netflix. Following the traditional Opening Day festivities on Thursday, which feature a 13-game slate, a final collaborative video will debut the following week.
This partnership arrives as BTS continues to ride the momentum of their massive global comeback. After the Friday release of ARIRANG and a landmark performance in Seoul, the septet has shifted their focus to the United States. RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook recently hosted a Spotify fan experience and are scheduled for a two-night takeover of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Wednesday and Thursday.
MLB’s recent push to bridge the gap between sports and global music follows their successful World Baseball Classic soundtrack produced by Tainy. That project featured a multilingual lineup including Becky G, YEONJUN of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Myke Towers, Young Miko, and Fujii Kaze, reinforcing the league’s commitment to an international audience.
