Billboard Español TV Launches New U.S. Streaming Network Dedicated to Spanish-Language Music and Culture

Billboard Español TV Launch

Industry titan Billboard has joined forces with Fuse Media, a premier minority-owned media entity, to announce the debut of Billboard Español TV. Unveiled on Tuesday, March 31, this innovative streaming network is dedicated to the vibrant intersection of Spanish-language music and culture, targeting U.S. Hispanic viewers and a growing global audience.

Scheduled for a Q2 2026 rollout, Billboard Español TV will leverage Billboard’s legendary editorial prestige and unparalleled data-driven charts. As a dedicated FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) destination, the channel will curate high-quality programming centered on internationally acclaimed, chart-topping artists and the hits that define the era. The platform is strategically positioned to reach households where Spanish-language content and music are central to the viewing experience.

The network aims to spotlight both emerging Latin American talent and established global icons through immersive artist biographies, music-centric cultural programming, and exclusive content tailored to the tastes of U.S. Latinos—one of the nation’s most rapidly expanding and influential demographics. The channel shares its name with Billboard’s Spanish-language digital hub, which, since its inception four years ago, has ascended to become the most-visited Spanish-language music website globally. This established foundation of credibility ensures the new FAST channel enters the market with significant brand authority.

Current industry metrics highlight the genre’s massive crossover appeal; approximately 25% of U.S. listeners aged 13 and older consume Spanish-language music, even though Hispanics constitute roughly 19% of the total population. This momentum is equally visible in viewing habits: according to Nielsen, Hispanic audiences dedicate 55.8% of their total television time to streaming platforms, significantly outpacing the national average and marking them as one of the most digitally engaged segments in the country.

This cultural shift has become a cornerstone of the mainstream. At the 2026 Grammys, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos secured a historic win as the first Spanish-language project to take home Album of the Year. His subsequent Super Bowl performance further proved that the appeal of Spanish-language music transcends linguistic boundaries, captivating diverse audiences nationwide.

Billboard Español TV is more than just a broadcast outlet; it is a testament to how deeply Latin music and Latino culture are integrated into the American mainstream,” stated Patrick Courtney, Chief Business Officer at Fuse Media. “From regional Mexican and Urbano to pop and legacy acts, this channel bridges the gap between fans and the stories behind their favorite tracks, while providing advertisers with scalable access to a passionate, culturally connected audience.”

The programming lineup for Billboard Español TV will be anchored by Billboard’s industry-leading insights and editorial depth, including:

  • Chart Breakdowns: Deep dives into the data behind English and Spanish-language hits and artist spotlights.
  • Documentary Features: Artist profiles and music history shaped by Billboard’s investigative reporting.
  • Original Programming: Series focused on genre evolution, cultural shifts, and fan-driven moments.
  • Exclusive Showcases: Curated premieres and performances celebrating the breadth of Latin music.
  • Event Access: Comprehensive live coverage from the red carpets of the industry’s most prestigious events.

“Providing Spanish-speaking music enthusiasts with access to the artists they admire in a native, meaningful environment is the core mission of Billboard Español TV,” said Dana Droppo, Billboard’s Chief Brand Officer. “Our collaboration with Fuse Media allows us to translate Billboard’s global authority and trusted storytelling into a FAST platform optimized for discovery and cultural resonance.”

This new venture expands Fuse Media’s growing FAST portfolio, offering brands a premium environment with clearly defined audience segments. Billboard Español TV reinforces the growing dominance of Spanish-language culture within the broader entertainment landscape while delivering measurable engagement at a significant scale.
