Alaska Airlines has unveiled an airplane that options the Sub Pop emblem to have a good time the enduring label’s 30th anniversary. That’s it above. In a press release, Sub Pop co-president/founder Jonathan Poneman mentioned, “The jet’s wrapping makes it look like a Sub Pop musician’s instrument case, only in much better condition. It’s definitely the sickest jet on the tarmac!”
Natalie Bowman—Alaska Airlines’ managing director of brand name advertising and promoting— added, “This partnership brings together two independent, local brands that are committed to doing things a little differently.” In 2016, Alaska Airlines teamed up with the Sub Pop by providing complimentary music from the label.
This yr’s Sub Pop choices have included new albums from Beach House, Father John Misty, Frankie Cosmos, Hot Snakes, and extra. Later this yr the label will launch the “Rick and Morty” soundtrack, a brand new Mudhoney album, an Iron & Wine EP, and extra.
