Soft Cell—the UK synth-pop duo of Marc Almond and David Ball—are again. They have shared their first new tune in 15 years. Listen to “Northern Lights” under. The monitor is taken from a brand new compilation known as The Singles — Keychains & Snowstorms, which is out September 28 (through Universal Music Catalogue). The comp will embody a second new tune known as “Guilty (‘Cos I Say You Are’),” together with hits like “Tainted Love,” “Say Hello Wave Goodbye,” and extra.
The Singles is a companion to a forthcoming career-spanning field set known as Keychains & Snowstorms: The Soft Cell Story (out September 7 through Universal Music Catalogue). The 10-disc set consists of 9 CDs and a DVD that options over 4 hours of footage.
Soft Cell’s final album, Beauty Without Cruelty, got here out in 2002. Next month, Soft Cell will play a farewell reunion concert at London O2 in celebration of their 40th anniversary as a gaggle.
