Yesterday, it was revealed that Adult Swim had scheduled a five-minute section named after Aphex Twin’s new EP Collapse. Though the section was slated to air later tonight, the community has since instructed Pitchfork that it’s been cancelled. Now, Adult Swim’s Creative Director of On-Air Jason DeMarco confirmed that the section was pulled for security causes. “[The segment] didn’t pass the Harding test,” he tweeted, referring to the set of standards for photosensitive epilepsy security that’s necessary for tv broadcasters. “We will be premiering it online.”
Collapse has been teased within the current weeks with mysterious advertisements and Aphex Twin logos in cities all through the world. The EP can be Richard D. James’ first launch since 2016’s LP Cheetah. Last 12 months, James shared a streaming site with rarities, unreleased tracks, and extra from all through his profession.
