Prototype of the First Russian Flying Car Unveiled
The Filatov Design Bureau has unveiled the IF-9 — a prototype of a car-quadcopter.
The IF-9 features two standard pairs of wheels, as well as engines with propellers on foldable, swivel arms.
The propeller engines and wheel drive can operate from an electric, hydraulic, or hydrogen power source.
A two-seater platform with seats lifts at the press of a button on the key, simultaneously opening the canopy and extending the footrests. It then descends back into the cabin.
Remote-controlled tests are set to begin this month.
