They’ve additionally introduced their debut launch: the boygenius EP is out November 9 by way of Matador. Baker, Bridgers, and Dacus recorded boygenius collectively in Los Angeles this previous June. Speaking in regards to the group’s formation in a press launch, Baker defined, “When we met, Lucy and Phoebe and I were in similar places in our lives and our musical endeavors, but also had similar attitudes toward music that engendered an immediate affinity.”
Last 12 months, Julien Baker launched her second report, Turn Out the Lights, and Phoebe Bridgers launched her first, Stranger in the Alps. This previous March, Lucy Dacus shared her sophomore album Historian.
