Based on the feature film of the same name from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, "What We Do in the Shadows" is a documentary-style look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires who've "lived" together for hundreds of years in Staten Island.The self-appointed leader of the group is Nandor the Relentless, a great warrior and conqueror from the Ottoman Empire. Then there's the British vampire Laszlo -- a bit of a rogue and a dandy and a fop, he might say. He's a lover of mischief and a great soirée, but not as much as he loves seeing Nandor fail miserably in every attempt. And then there's Nadja: the seductress, the temptress, the vampiric Bonnie to Laszlo's Clyde. Also cohabiting in the vampire household is Guillermo, Nandor's familiar; and Colin Robinson, an energy vampire and day-walker of sorts -- he feasts on humans, but not on their blood.

I was made to watch this show, I ended up buying the series and am in the middle of binge watching it. I love all these characters Lazlo and Colin are my favorite but seriously they are all so damn good. I have laughed out loud during every episode I have watched so far, Love Love Love it!!!!

I adored this series. It had been recommended to me several times, but I always worried that the ridiculousness would be over powering. It was quite the opposite. The amazing talent of the cast shone through, and the hilarious activities of the characters left me wanting more. The intelligence and wit oozes out of this show, while still making characters relatable, even if they're grumpy and kill humans. The one liners are probably my favorite part of this show. With a simple "Creepy paper" I'm sent back to the first episode in a fit of giggles. Stunning writing and cinematography. A must see.
