      Critics Consensus

While it may hold few surprises for fans of the source material, The Sandman's first season satisfyingly adapts an allegedly unfilmable classic.

Marlena H One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Olga V Love this imaginative world filled with intriguing characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Luz S I don't understand why this didn't get a season two Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Stephen H Loved this series. It has definitely inspired me to pick up the graphic novels and give them a read. I was previously unaware that the show was based off of graphic novels and comics, but apparently the show follows them quite closely. Excited for season 2. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Jasper M Very weird but extremely entertaining and unpredictable. Especially the performances of Sturridge, Holbrook and Thewlis make this series worth watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Red1 Started out well! I liked the casting and the premise was interesting. It just got boring. I assumed the whole series would be his quest to retrieve his relics but that story line was cleared up quickly. It then was a procession of stores about characters that had little to do with the main character, while also being plodding and boring. Maybe the original comic is boring too, but seems like a great opportunity to make something more if that is the case. Snore. If there is a season two, I wont bother to watch.
