      Season 5 – BoJack Horseman

2018 Comedy Animation TRAILER for BoJack Horseman: Season 5 Trailer List
98% 48 Reviews Tomatometer 95% 1,000+ Ratings Audience Score A humanoid horse, BoJack Horseman -- lost in a sea of self-loathing and booze -- decides it's time for a comeback. Once the star of a '90s sitcom, in which he was the adoptive father of three orphaned kids (two girls and a boy). The show was the hottest thing around, then suddenly, was canceled. Now 18 years later, BoJack wants to regain his dignity. With the aid of a human sidekick and a feline ex-girlfriend who is his agent, he sets out to make it happen. But Hollywood is vastly different from those days, and getting used to stuff like Twitter may take some time. This first animated series from Netflix -- with plenty of references to sex, drugs and alcohol -- is not for the little ones. Read More Read Less Watch on Netflix Stream Now

David W BoJack Horseman’s fifth season is essential viewing for the series with critical episodes for character development that should not be missed. I would absolutely watch it again! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Andrei D Mastery and depression Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/23/23 Full Review Mila S One of my favourite episodes is in season 5 - The Showstopper. This season really turned the series as a whole a bit darker and more serious. Absolutely love it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/04/23 Full Review Lia A I'm not a real critic but this show is fucking fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/23 Full Review Corey W Season five sees the titular Bojack on top of the world, but if we know anything about the mean, drunken horse it's that this dominance wont last. And, of course, it doesn't, but the way in which Bojack implodes treads new ground, including new depths of depravity. The star of his own "Netflix" style police drama, Bojack is finally starting to accept himself as a real actor, but after an on-set accident leads to an opioid addiction Bojack starts to spin out until he's threatened with losing everything. It's a complex season filled with half-hearted attempts to "get better" by a deeply selfish and bitter man, following a big name actor to their lowest point. The cast around Bojack is more complex too. No longer are Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter together, scratch Princess Caroline and Ralph too. Todd continues to set off on his typical whacky adventures, but even his story is imbued with meaning as he explores who he is by viewing the pieces that comprise him. As always Bojack Horseman stuns with its emotional depth juxtaposed against the relative hilarity of the characters, both in the background and the foreground. The season ends with a glimmer of hope that will undoubtedly set the target for the sixth and final season. Netflix's best show has never been better. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/01/23 Full Review Michael T Just a fantastic season. I found it to be incredibly funny and when I wasn't laughing, I was hooked on the story. Hannah Giorgis The Atlantic It's difficult, cathartic television. It feels personal. Sep 10, 2019 Full Review Rachel Syme The New Republic If this seems like heavy stuff for a cartoon, BoJack has earned it. Dec 22, 2018 Full Review Alan Sepinwall Rolling Stone By now, we shouldn't be surprised that BoJack can do anything, or be anything. It can be the funniest show on TV and the saddest within the span of seconds. Dec 22, 2018 Full Review Nicolás Delgadillo Discussing Film Continues to be one of the smartest, funniest, and thoughtful shows to ever be put onscreen. Jun 25, 2021 Full Review Liam Hoofe Flickering Myth BoJack's fifth season is once again a home-run, delivering a nuanced examination of addiction and an astonishingly self-aware take on the #Metoo movement and the male-dominated culture of Hollywood. Feb 28, 2020 Full Review Huw Saunders Cultured Vultures There's no escaping the fact that sometimes, BoJack goes beyond simple half-cut lethargy and does genuinely messed-up things - and this latest season isn't remotely afraid to confront us with that.
