      Critics Consensus

Kingsman: The Golden Circle offers more of everything that made its predecessor so much fun, but lacks the original's wild creative spark.

Katie D This is great! It managed to honor and build on the first movie and it's just as good! (it was a little loud but maybe that was just our theater...) funny, action-packed, surprising, smart, great music and excellent acting! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/21 Full Review Libby C "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" offers another round of high-octane action and tongue-in-cheek humor. While it maintains the stylish flair of its predecessor, the plot can feel overstuffed at times. Nonetheless, charismatic performances and inventive action sequences make for an entertaining spy romp. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review James M There was a lot of violence, but also quite a few sad moments here and there. It was an alright sequel, but I think it could've been a lot better. Felt slightly crazy at a few points though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Alessandro Ramon T a somewhat mediocre film as there is no evolution of the characters, a fairly simple plot and the action scenes are well done but shot with a camera that never stays still and that after a while makes you feel bad Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review Luke W Slick and entertaining. A bit much with the violence. Worth watching... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Somiaz A good sequel with lots of sad moments taking place. Though twist villains aren't something I enjoy, this one wasn't as bad as a lot of others are. Just like the last film, fast and exaggerated but very enjoyable fight scenes. Kambole Campbell One Room With A View Kingsman: The Golden Circle doubles down on the crass humour that the first thought was subversive, all the while indulging in the worst traits of Bond films and predecessor The Secret Service alike - only this time, it's boring. Rated: 2/5 Aug 25, 2018 Full Review Larushka Ivan-Zadeh Metro Newspaper (UK) It's another goofily imaginative movie for teenagers made by middle-aged comic book fans. What's lacking this time is the sparky relationship between Firth's avuncular gent and Egerton's scrappy yoof. Rated: 3/5 Oct 11, 2017 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian The only redemption is seeing Elton John as Poppy's piano-bashing, singing, F-word-dropping hostage, but even he becomes tiresome before too long. If there's a Kingsman 3, I'll defect to Statesmen. At least they have whisky. Rated: 1/5 Oct 6, 2017 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The film suffers from a nasty case of sequelitis, whereby the follow-up has the same basic plot of its predecessor and makes the mistake of assuming the outcome of more action is a better film. It's not. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 17, 2022 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat I liked Kingsman: The Golden Circle but made crucial film franchise management mistakes. Rated: 7/10 Dec 16, 2021 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Star studded, but is so enamoured of its own style it doesn't give anyone a chance to be interesting.
