Young Dolph has been hospitalized after he was shot multiple times in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, TMZ reports. The rapper was outside the Loews Hollywood Hotel on Highland and Hollywood when he was fired upon and suffered “multiple gunshot injuries.” Young Dolph is currently in critical condition, the LAPD confirmed to Pitchfork. The incident began when group of three men was arguing with Young Dolph, which escalated into physical altercation, LAPD Public Information Officer Sal Ramirez told Pitchfork. Dolph then fell to the ground, which is allegedly when one of the suspects shot him multiple times. At that point, Dolph reportedly stood up and ran into a local business as the suspects fled the scene. An arrest was made the next day, as LA Times reports. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Young Dolph for more information.

Ramirez refuted TMZ’s report that claimed Yo Gotti was being investigated as a “person of interest” in the shooting. Back in May, Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta was implicated in an attempting shooting of Dolph in February.
