Two men have been arrested in connection with a Friday, September 26 incident that left one of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s bodyguards shot, the Associated Press reports. The men—Zachary Bunce and Faheem Walter—were each reportedly charged with gang assault.
The incident occurred on Friday night when 6ix9ine and his crew, which included Bunce and Walter, attempted to go to a Manhattan restaurant to celebrate 6ix9ine receiving a probation sentence and not going to jail. The group was turned away, which led Bunce and Walter to allegedly “hit an armed private security guard with chair.” The security guard shot Walter, who was hospitalized. He is in stable condition, according to TMZ. According to the AP, 6ix9ine’s attorney said his client was not present during the shooting.
On Friday, September 26, the Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to four years of probation (with credit for one year previously served) for charges stemming from his 2015 arrest for the use of a child in a sexual performance. He is facing misdemeanor assault charges in two different states.
