Today, Tekashi 6ix9ine, the Brooklyn rapper born Daniel Hernandez, was sentenced to four years of probation (with credit for one year previously served) for charges stemming from his 2015 arrest for the use of a child in a sexual performance. According to TMZ and The Shade Room, following the hearing, 6ix9ine and his team headed to a Manhattan restaurant to celebrate that the rapper avoided jail time in the case. Outside the restaurant, one of 6ix9ine’s bodyguards was reportedly shot four times. He was taken to the hospital, according to TMZ. Pitchfork has contacted the NYPD.

At his court hearing earlier today, 6ix9ine evaded a prison sentence and was not required to register as a sex offender. He is instead required to complete 1,000 hours of community service and must refrain from gang affiliation and the posting or reposting online sexually explicit or violent images of women or children.
