Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi gave the halftime performance at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta tonight. Maroon 5 opened with “Harder to Breathe” and “This Love.” Scott came out following a SpongeBob Squarepants and Squidward introduction (referencing the cartoon’s classic “Sweet Victory”), and then he performed “Sicko Mode.” Maroon 5 then did “Girls Like You” with a choir (but not Cardi B) and “She Will Be Loved.” Big Boi came out to perform OutKast’s “The Way You Move” before Maroon 5 closed out with “Sugar” and “Moves Like Jagger.” Watch it all happen below.

The lead-up to the Super Bowl halftime show was rife with controversy, with several artists declining to participate in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, who was blacklisted from the NFL following his peaceful protest of systemic police brutality against people of color. Gladys Knight, who sang the National Anthem at the event, addressed Kaepernick ahead of the Super Bowl, saying, “I understand that Mr. Kaepernick is protesting two things, and they are police violence and injustice.... I pray that this National Anthem will bring us all together in a way never before witnessed and we can move forward and untangle these truths which mean so much to all of us.”

In January, Travis Scott announced that part of his deal with the NFL required the league to make a $500,000 charity donation to the social justice organization Dream Corps. Maroon 5 announced a charitable donation of the same amount to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, with the NFL and their record label, Interscope.
