Watch St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein’s Surreal Short Film Series

St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein have teamed up for a series of surreal vignettes, which Annie Clark is releasing on Instagram. Below, watch those released so far. News broke that the pair had teamed up in last week’s New Yorker profile of Clark. The clips feature Clark answering generic questions—represented by text reading, for instance, “Insert question about what it’s like to play in heels”—and delivering comic answers in her trademark deadpan. Clark has also shot another film, set at a mocked-up press conference, according to the profile.
