Sharon Van Etten has released a new video for “Comeback Kid.” It was directed by Jonathan William Turner. “As the lyrics for ‘Comeback Kid’ unfolded, I realized I was talking about many selves: the kid, the adult, the sibling, the friend, the neighbor,” Van Etten said in a statement. “I imagined a projector streaming over me of memories, unclear if they are mine or someone else’s, confronted by the disorientation of time and perspective.” Watch it below.

“Comeback Kid” appears on Van Etten’s forthcoming LP Remind Me Tomorrow, which is out January 18 via Jagjaguwar. Van Etten also announced a 2019 tour that will kick off behind the new album. Find her itinerary here.

Van Etten’s last full-length was 2014’s Are We There. Read Pitchfork’s feature, “Here Together Are Our Hearts: The Love Songs of Sharon Van Etten.”
