Tonight at the 2022 Super Bowl, Jhené Aiko kicked things off with a performance of “America the Beautiful.” She was accompanied by Los Angeles–based harpist Gracie Sprout. NBC briefly identified Mickey Guyton, who sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” as Aiko and showed her onscreen instead. NBC later apologized for the mistake. Watch it all happen below.

Super Bowl LVI is a showdown between the the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, taking place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Tonight’s halftime show features hip-hop legends Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is co-producing the telecast.

Earlier this evening during the pre-game concert, Mary Mary performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Zedd served as the pre-game DJ.
