Earlier this month, it was revealed that Flying Lotus had written the soundtrack for a new Blade Runner short film titled Blade Runner Black Out 2022, a prequel to the upcoming Denis Villeneuve-directed feature Blade Runner 2049. Now, that film has arrived. Watch it here via Crunchyroll and find a trailer below. The new short was written and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe of “Cowboy Bebop” fame, and also features music by Miguel Atwood Ferguson and Kuedo. FlyLo called it “a dream of his” to be working with the “Cowboy Bebop” director. Blade Runner 2049, starring Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, hits theaters October 6.
